Adventures in Sippy Cups!

Cash is growing like crazy! I can't believe that he is almost 6 months old! Where does the time go? This past weekend we took him to the park and he swung for the first time and he loved it. He also went with us the the gelato store and I gave him a little taste. I think I made a big mistake because he threw a fit when it was all gone! :) This past week I also gave him a sippy cup with pear juice in it. The first day he loved it and drank all of his juice. The next day he caught a cold and wasn't interested. So I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that when he gets over this cold he will resume his interest in the cup and then hopefully we can get him to drink milk out of the cup!

He is actually even enjoying it!

So in my eagerness and stupidity, I also gave him a biter biscuit this week. He thoroughly enjoyed it until I had to do the finger sweep in the back of his mouth! I don't know what I was thinking.

10 seconds after the finger swipe!

I think that he still loves me though!

24 weeks!

I don't have a lot of pictures to share this week, but boy Cash has been doing a lot! He has been so busy and I am just amazed at all he does. On Saturday he kept saying da-da-da-da-da. Of course, he doesn't have any idea what he is saying, but we are delighted anyway (more so if he would say ma-ma-ma-ma, but all of my speech path friends assure me its a developmental thing!) He has also been scooting around and doing what I like to call the face plant shuffle. He pushes his face down in the carpet and pushes himself forward with his legs. He has also been army crawling a little bit. Today I put him in his play mat while I talked to someone and when I turned around, he had manuevered about 3 feet in front of the couch! I was shocked. I guess we will start babyproofing this weekend! The time just goes so fast, it's so exciting, but I also miss my little baby too! Have a great week everyone!

Pageant Fun!

Along with all of the other fun things that we got to do in South Dakota, my sister Kamaria participated in the Miss Teen South Dakota USA pageant. She did an excellent job and we are so proud of her! I may be a bit biased, but I think that she rocked the whole thing and that the judges must have been smoking something, because she totally should have won! Here are just a few pictures!

The top 15 finalists in their evening gowns with the winner in the middle.

Kamaria with her top 15 trophy!

top 15 Baby!

Cash enjoying looking at all of the pretty girls!

Hard to see but a close up of Kamaria on the screen!

The top 15 contestants in their introduction outfits right after they were announced.

Kamaria after she was announced as the 4th person to make it into the top 15!

Mom and I cheering her on and dad trying to be funny as usual. For some reason, that never seems to get old to him!

The rest of the family cheering her on. You would think that the guys would be a little happier about watching a bunch of girls walk around a stage in their swimsuits!

Kam working it during her introduction!

Halloween Fun!

I had a really fun Halloween! I got to wear two costumes this year. I got my picture taken in my chicken costume with my puppy Winston. My mom tried to upload some of those photos on here, but she wasn't smart enough to figure it out! That's okay I love her anyway! This is me in my elephant costume.
Here I am showing you how I can be a rabid enraged elephant!

ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh - this is me roaring at you!

My nice "Dumbo" elephant!

Mom tried to make me look like a jack o lantern!

I really liked my light up socks that my friend Aubrey gave me! I spent hours trying to pull them off of my feet! Thanks Aubrey!

Don't I look cute in my Halloween jammies and hat. Mom feels bad for me because she said that I got her completely round pumpkin head! Luckily, she said that I didn't get her Eddie Munster hairline. Well, at least not yet! I hope that you all had a Happy Halloween!

A busy week in South Dakota!

Boy did we have a busy week back in South Dakota! It was so fun to see all of my family and friends though! I had so much fun playing with everyone! Above, you can see me visiting my Great Grandma Hannah!

Me and Great Grandpa GeorgeAllen had a good time laughing together! He has lots of good stories - sometimes he even puts himself to sleep telling them!

Monday night I got to watch my aunties play volleyball and my mommy was super happy because she got to eat walking nachos. Don't tell anybody but she had two! :)

My friend Beckett sent me this toy, because he said that it would feel really good to chew on. Boy was he right - he's a smart one that kid!

On Tuesday, I went to my Grandma Cheryl's office to visit her at work. She works for a dentist. I thought it was really funny when they hung my toys from the ceiling using dental floss!

After that, I went to visit my Great Great Grandma Sophie. She kept whispering things in my ear that nobody else could hear, but that I thought was really funny!

One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting my Great Grandma Jan. She was so excited to see me and the feelings were definitely mutual!

We had a great time together!

On Wednesday, I stayed at Grandma Cheryl's and relaxed. I still like to check myself out in the mirror. I like to get really close now so I can see myself really good!

I also like to bang on the highchair with my spoon. Sometimes I scare myself though!

On Thursday, my Grandpa Snydlee and Grandma Tammy drove down to see me. It was so nice to see them and we had a lot of fun together. Grandpa kept calling me Rastus though, and I just don't understand why. He has a scratchy beard though, and I like to pull on it!

This is me and my "cousin" Rocky! I don't know if you remember, but we were born just a few days apart. I had a pretty good jumpstart on him size wise, but I think he caught up now!

I still like hanging out with him though!

My auntie Kam, my friend Alec, and me!

My future's so bright.....

Over the weekend, I got to hang out with my uncle Seth. He likes to teach me naughty words - at least he keeps saying he is going to!

Me and my auntie Ashley!

I like her because she has boobies like my mommy!

She does lots of fun things with me too!

Me and Grandpa Chris!

We have lots of fun together. Right after this, I threw up all over! :)

He never smiles for the camera!

On Sunday night, we stayed at the Walshes. This is me and Mackenzie in our jammies. We are a couple of sleepy heads!
I can't wait until I can crawl after her and chase her. She's kind of cute! Thanks for letting us stay with you!
